When you encounter a closed-testing notice, first open "Release overview" and "Policy status" from the left-hand menu in Play Console. Save the exact wording of each pending task, error message, and the time it appeared. These pages help determine whether the issue concerns account details, the testing track, app content, or the release, preventing repeated work in the wrong area. Confirm that you are signed in with the app owner account. An individual developer account displays the developer's personal name on the store, while an organization account displays the organization's verified name. If multiple people are working together, check "Users and permissions" to confirm that the signed-in account can manage the testing tracks before continuing. In the "Testing" section, confirm whether the app is using the internal testing, closed testing, or open testing track. For an account required to complete closed testing before production release, verify that the closed testing track has been created, the test release has been uploaded and approved, and testers have joined through an email list or a Google group. After the testing link is generated, join it with an account that is not associated with the developer and install the app once to confirm that both the tester list and the release are active. The community often mentions approximately 12 testers and a continuous period of roughly 14 days, but these figures should not be treated as fixed rules. Whether they apply, how many testers are required, and how long the test must continue depend on the release requirements displayed for the current account. If the console does not show a corresponding task, there is no need to apply those numbers independently. If a task does appear, complete the test as directed;

there is no compliant way to skip the requirement. Keep the fees separate. Google charges a one-time registration fee when you register a Play Console developer account. Publicly available information often cites approximately US$25, but the actual currency and amount displayed on the registration page at the time of registration are authoritative. This is not an annual membership fee. Any quote received through Telegram for registration assistance or a specific account status is a commercial service price, not the official Google registration fee. When requesting such a quote, ask the provider to specify the exact account status, for example, "an organization account with no apps published." Before submitting, check each item: confirm that "Release overview" no longer shows unfinished tasks;

verify that the developer identity in the app and store listing details matches the account owner; confirm that the closed testing release is active;

check that testers have actually joined;

and save screenshots of all error messages and submission times. Organization accounts must also confirm that organization identity verification is complete, as incomplete verification may affect store name display and member collaboration. After completing the steps, return to "Release overview" and recheck the task status, target version, and member permissions. If a status has just changed, do not submit repeatedly;

wait for processing as directed by the console. If a new notice appears, modify only the affected section and preserve the exact wording on the page for later comparison.
